A new home and why I made the move
Why I moved and why it's uh-maze-ing for you
Hey loves,
Super quick note - I’ve moved the 136 Home newsletter from Flodesk to Substack.
You may notice the emails look a little different, and I didn’t want it to freak you out when they show up in your inbox.
Why I moved
Substack gives me a lot more flexibility to share the full story behind 136 Home, not just emails, but a living archive of everything in one place, where I can share a tenant of 136home - every day magic by seeing the beauty in the seemingly ordinary.
That means you can easily revisit past posts anytime (no more searching your inbox for that one recipe, design tip, or cabin update).
And honestly, it’s more affordable.
I’d rather invest those savings in creating better content, projects, and experiences for you.
What you need to know
It’s still free. (obvi)
Your subscription isn’t changing, and there’s no cost to stay.
I may offer an optional paid tier down the road for extra behind-the-scenes content (think deeper cabin decisions, budgets, more furnishing sources, curated moodboards, Live Q+A’s, and design breakdowns), but the free weekly notes, design, DIY, recipes, plants, and real life at 136 Home - are here to stay.
There’s a Substack app (and it’s actually great).
I miss just writing; the world of SEO and blog optimizations has muted that joy for me. So now you can read, comment, and get notifications there if you prefer; just search for Substack in the App Store or on Google Play. I’m there posting right now about great garden and exterior paint options
One of the biggest reasons I moved was to make this more of a conversation, in an intimate way. I reply to every comment - so please jump in and comment when something resonates.
The content isn’t changing, just getting better.
You’ll still get:
Shopable Moodboards, Design tips + tricks with easy DIY tutorials.
Cabin Chronicles (the real renovation journey)
Monthly design by horoscope content!
Can’t miss recipes from my kitchen
Pro Plant care, garden tips, magic moments, and everyday rituals for a curated life
Behind the scenes of what’s working on 136home.com
Same heart. Just a better home in your inbox.
You can explore everything here:
Visit the 136 Home Substack
I know how personal inbox space is, and I’m really grateful you’ve chosen to be here.
One small favor (this helps a lot):
If you have a second, hit reply and just say hi.
Even a quick “hey” helps email providers recognize that this is still me (just in a new space) and keeps future posts out of spam or promotions.
Thanks for being part of 136 Home.
We’re just getting started.
– xoxo Anthony
P.S. If there’s something you’d love to see more of, cabin life, design deep dives, recipes, or plants, just hit reply. I read every message.
